




On 16 December 2020, Ambassadors of ASEAN countries, including H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand, exchanged views with H.E. Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, at Iikura Guest House with the participation of State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan and relevant executives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
On 15 December 2020, the 2nd grade students of Umenoki Elementary School, Kita Ward, Tokyo, had an opportunity to get to know Thailand, Thai food and Thai culture and gained experience on the uniqueness of Muay Thai, as the School is an official supporter of Thailand during the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games next year.

On 14 December 2020, H.E. Mr. SingtongLapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand, participated in “The 301st ASEAN Committee in Tokyo (ACT) Virtual Meeting” chaired by H.E. U Soe Han, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. During the Virtual Meeting, participating Ambassadors and representatives exchanged views on recent development related to ASEAN cooperation, role of ASEAN in the context of foreign policy of Japan and other major powers, COVID-19 situation in Japan, among others.
On 11 December 2020 the Royal Thai Embassy was invited to introduce Thailand to grade 5 and 6students at Kogai Elementary Schoo lin Minato City in Tokyo. The Embassy believes that getting to know Thailand from a young age helps build a long-lasting friendship between Thailand and Japan. The briefing was presented by Ms. Urawat Sukseangdow, Minister-Counsellor, together with the Embassy’s staff.
On 3 December 2020, Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun gave a special online lecture on “Interpretation techniques” to the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. More than 20 students and members of the Faculty attended this online event.
On 4 December 2020, H.E. Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun presided over the flowers-laying ceremony and religious ceremony, at the Royal Thai Embassy’s Hall, to pay respect and gratitude to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great on the occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, and Thailand’s Father’s Day. Officials of the Team Thailand in Tokyo and their spouses also attended the ceremonies.
On 26 November 2020, H.E. Mr. Tom D. KIJINER, Ambassador of the Republic of the Marshall Islands to Thailand with Residence in Tokyo had a meeting with H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Japan, at the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo.
On 25 November 2020, Mr. KOIZUMI Takashi, Chairperson of Hiroshima Peace Culture Foundation, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Japan. Mr. KOIZUMI presented to the Ambassador about the Mayors for Peace organisation and its activities.
On 26 November 2020, Mr. NAGAISHI Yasuaki, Managing Director and Secretary General of the Organization for Industrial, Spiritual and Cultural Advancement (OISCA), paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun, and informed the Ambassador on OISCA’s development activities in Thailand.
