




On 26 March 2021, H.E. Mr.Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, hosted a luncheon in honour of Mr. ABE Shinichi, Executive Vice President of All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. (ANA) and his management team.
On 23 March, 2021, Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun and spouse, together with Team Thailand officials, attended the Opening Ceremony of “Animal Wonder Rezourt-Ichihara Elephant Country” at Animal Wonder Rezourt, Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture.
On 19 March 2021, H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand, Mrs. Saisarn Nagatsuka, Minister Counsellor (Education), Mr. Romdej Phisalaphong, Minister Counsellor, and Ms. Pattamawadee Aueareechit, Consul, participated in a virtual meeting with 34 Thai students who received scholarships to study at KOSEN (National Institute of Technology)in various prefectures including Aomori, Miyagi, Ibaraki, Niigata, Hyogo and Okayama. During the said meeting, H.E. Ambassador gave an encouraging speech and also witnessed presentations in Japanese by the students about the city that they are residing.
On 18 March 2021, Mr. ABE Shinichi, Executive VICE President (in charge of Group Facility Planning, and Marketing) of All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. and his management team paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand, to update the recent executive management appointment.
On 17 March 2021, H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand, together with Ambassador of Lithuania, Singapore and Switzerland to Japan, exchanged views with H.E. Mr. INOUE Shinji, Minister for the World Expo 2025, about Japan’s preparation for hosting the World Expo 2025. Japan will host the upcoming World Expo 2025 during 13 April-23 October 2025at Yumeshima, Osaka.
On 10 March 2021, Ambassadors of ASEAN to Japan including H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, and representatives participated in a farewell luncheon in honour of H.E. Mr. Viroth Sundara, Ambassador of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to Japan, hosted by H.E. Mr. Soe Han, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. As a token of friendship and to bid a farewell, an ASEAN Committee in Tokyo (ACT) Crystal Plaque, with inscription of signatures of ASEAN Ambassadors to Japan, was presented to H.E. Ambassador Viroth. This luncheon became yet another good opportunity for ASEAN Ambassadors in Japan to strengthen solidarity of ASEAN and warm friendship.
On 5 March 2021, H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand, met with H.E. Mr. Héctor Alejandro Palma Cerna, Ambassador of the Republic of Honduras to Thailand with Residence in Tokyo. Both sides exchanged views about bilateral relations between Thailand and Honduras, as well as cooperation in the multilateral fora. Ambassador of Honduras also took this opportunity to express his appreciation to the Royal Thai Government in extending humanitarian assistance for the rehabilitation of the communities affected by the tropical depression Eta and Iota of Honduras in November 2020.
On 23 February 2021, the Royal Thai Embassy and the Office of Educational Affairs held an exchange forum between the Royal Thai Government’s postgraduate scholarship students and officials from Thai governmental agencies (Team Thailand) in Tokyo, who are former Thai Government’s scholarship students, at the Thai Ambassador’s Residence. On this occasion, Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun delivered a remark and gave advices to the students on how to prepare themselves to be a good government official. Team Thailand officials also shared their work experiences with those students.
On 18 February 2021, H.E. Mr. Sanjiv Gunasekara, Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to Japan paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand, on the occasion of his posting to Japan. Both sides exchanged views on bilateral relations between Thailand and Sri Lanka and between Sri Lanka and Japan as well as other issues of mutual interest including regional cooperation.
On 17 February 2021, H.E. Mr.Singtong and Mrs.Porndee Lapisatepun, hosted a farewell lunch in honour of H.E. Mr. Viroth Sundara, Ambassador of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) to Japan and spouse, Mrs. Simuang Sundara. The lunch became yet another good opportunity to strengthen close and warm friendship of both countries.
