Deputy Mayor of Shizuoka paid a courtesy call on the ambassador

On 4 October 2017, Mr.Shigeyuki Konaga, Deputy Mayor of Shizuoka City, along with officers from Shizuoka paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag to discuss the cooperation between Shizuoka City and Thailand, and on this occasion, the delegation handed a proposal letter to the Royal Thai Embassy, requesting for Thailand’s consideration of giving 4 elephants to Nihon Daira zoo in Shizuoka, which is the largest zoo in Japan with a purpose of breeding and conserving elephant species in Japan for the future generations.

Students from M-Navi Program, Meiji University visited the embassy

On 21 September 2017, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag welcomed students from M-Navi Program, Meiji University. On this occasion, the students listened to the briefing of Thailand and Thailand-Japan relations as well as the role of the Royal Thai Embassy. On 4 September 2017, Mr. Motoharu Inaba, Mayor of Shimotsuma City, Ibaraki Prefecture together with the delegation paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag at the Royal Thai Embassy. On this occasion, Mayor Inaba promoted peers from Shimotsuma City and presented them to Ambassador Bansarn.

On 1 September 2017, H.E. Mr. Bansarn Bunnag, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Japan, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Shigeki Takizaki, Director-General of the Southeast and Southwest Asian Affairs Department, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. The Ambassador extended his congratulations upon Mr. Takizaki's appointment as Director-General of the Southeast and Southwest Asian Affairs Department. On 17 August 2017, H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag attended a meeting between Team Thailand and the private sector in Japan in order to further strengthen investment between Thailand and Japan.
The private sector consisted of executive officers from Thai Airways International, Bangkok Bank, Kasikorn Bank, Property Perfect Co., Ltd. and Banpu Power (Japan) Co., Ltd.
