




On 22 April 2021, Mr. IMAI Yutaka, Corporate Director of TV Asahi Corporation, welcomed Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun for visiting “the GMMTV Exhibition in Japan”at the Roppongi Keyakizaka Museum in Tokyo. This “GMMTV Exhibition in Japan”, on 8 famous actors from 4 GMMTV series,was organised under the cooperation between GMMTV Co., Ltd. and TV Asahi Corporation. This is the first time that this kind of exhibition is exhibited outside Thailand. Apart from Tokyo, the exhibition will be displayed in Hakata, Sendai, Osaka and Nagoya.
On 20 April 2021, Mr. KURITA Shunji, Former Senior General Manager, Global Strategic Planning & Marketing of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, who will be assuming the position of Vice President, Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V. Corporate Office in the UK paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand,
On 18 April 2021, Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun presided over the Songkran (Thai New Year) Festival at Wat Pa Buddharandsee Tokyo. In addition, Ambassador Singtong also assigned Ms. Prangtip Kanchanahattakij, Minister, and Ms. Pattamawadee Aueareechit, Counsellor and Consul, to preside over the Songkran Festivals on 11 April 2021 at Wat Paknam Japan in Chiba prefecture and Wat Pa Buddharangsee Ibaraki accordingly. These annual Festivals have enriched Thai culture and strengthened the Thai community in Japan. On this occasion, the Embassy also provided information regarding its consular service amidst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
On 19 April 2021, Mr. Makoto Hirayama, President of Kitoku Shinryo Co., Ltd. paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun at the Royal Thai Embassy. They exchanged views on the situation of Thai jasmine rice in the Japanese market. Currently the demand for Thai rice is increasing as more people cook Thai food at home in order to avoid eating out amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
On 16 April 2021, Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun presided over the Certificate Presentation Ceremony for the 81st Executive Committee and Working Groups of the Thai Students’ Association in Japan under the Royal Patronage (TSAJ). Attendance also included Mrs. Saisarn Nagatsuka, Minister Counsellor (Education), Mr. Romdej Phisalaphong, Minister Counsellor, and Mrs. Pattamawadee Aueareechit, Consul, as well as representatives of the 82nd Executive Committee of the TSAJ.
On 8 April 2021, two LDP members of the House of Councilors, namely Mr. OHNO Yasutada from Gifu Prefecture, and Mr. SAKAI Yasuyuki from Aichi Prefecture, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ambassador Singtong Lapisetepun. They discussed about the ongoing preparation for the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics this summer. Mr. OHNO and Mr. SAKAI also presented a letter of intent from the LDP members of the House of Councillors to the Ambassador, expressing the Japanese Government’s commitment to support, in their best conditions, all athletes so that they can join the competition under a safe and secure environment.
On 26 March 2021, H.E. Mr.Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, hosted a luncheon in honour of Mr. ABE Shinichi, Executive Vice President of All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. (ANA) and his management team.
On 23 March, 2021, Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun and spouse, together with Team Thailand officials, attended the Opening Ceremony of “Animal Wonder Rezourt-Ichihara Elephant Country” at Animal Wonder Rezourt, Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture.
On 19 March 2021, H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand, Mrs. Saisarn Nagatsuka, Minister Counsellor (Education), Mr. Romdej Phisalaphong, Minister Counsellor, and Ms. Pattamawadee Aueareechit, Consul, participated in a virtual meeting with 34 Thai students who received scholarships to study at KOSEN (National Institute of Technology)in various prefectures including Aomori, Miyagi, Ibaraki, Niigata, Hyogo and Okayama. During the said meeting, H.E. Ambassador gave an encouraging speech and also witnessed presentations in Japanese by the students about the city that they are residing.
