12.5 Royal Thai Honorary Consul-General in Nagoya received a Noble Order

On 5 December 2011, H.E. Ambassador Virasakdi Futrakul, presided over the ceremony to present to Mr. Takayasu Miwa, Royal Thai Honorary Consul-General in Nagoya, the Knight Grand Cross (First Class) of the Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand. The Royal Decoration was bestowed by His Majesty the King upon Mr. Miwa who had been working on behalf of the Thai government for 51 years.

12.5 Emperor blessing H.M. the King

On 5 December 2011, Mr. Takekazu Kawamura, Imperial Palace’s Grand Master of the Ceremonies, delivered a congratulatory blessing message from His Majesty the Emperor of Japan to His Majesty the King on His Majesty’s 84th Birthday Anniversary at the Ambassador’s Residence.

12.5 Orimoto Yamakuchi presented H.M. the King’s fabric photo

On 5 December 2011, Mr. Hideo Yamakuchi, CEO of Orimoto Yamakuchi Co.Ltd., Yamagata prefecture, presented to H.E. Ambassador Virasakdi Futrakul His Majesty the King machine-woven tapestry, to celebrate His Majesty’s 84th Birthday Anniversary. The tapestry is original, both in terms of hi-tech digital technology and its high-resolution portrait of His Majesty the King.

12.4 Royal Thai Embassy officers celebrated H.M. the King’s Birthday

On 4 December 2011, H.E. Ambassador Virasakdi Futrakul and his spouse, presided over the cermonies to celebrate His Majesty the King’s 84th Birthday Anniversary at Wat Paknam Narita in Chiba Prefecture and Wat Pa Buddharangsee in Tokyo. 12.4 Minister joined Japan Asia Fine Arts Association reception

On 4 December 2011, Minister Singtong Lapisatepun and his spouse attended Japan Asia Fine Arts Association’s reception held to commemorate His Majesty the King’s 84th Birthday Anniversary. The Minister welcomed artists from Thai Fine Arts Department, who performed Thai classical dance accompanied by students from Kayoko Akimoto Thai Dance Troupe. The association also presented donation for Thai flood victims in this occasion.

Buddhist Ceremony to celebrate King’s Birthday

On 18 November 2011, H.E. Ambassador Virasakdi Futrakul and spouse, presided over the buddhist ceremony to make merits during 18-20 November 2011 at Wat paknam Naritato celebrate H.M. the King’s 84th Birthday. There were 84 participants joining the ceremony

11.17-Thai Cooking Demonstration for the Asia-Pacific Ladies Friendship Society

On 17 November 2011, Mme. Aumaporn Futrakul, Ambassador’s spouse, organized an event for 11 members of Small Interest Group “Taste of Asia” of the Asia-Pacific Ladies Friendship Society, in which she introduced how to preprae Thai dishes, Tom Yum Kung soup and Spicy Glass Noodles Salad with Seafood, to the participants.

Ambassador’s spouse gave lecture on “Religious life of Buddhist women in Thailand”

On 6 November 2011, Mme Aumaporn Futrakul, Ambassador’s spouse, was invited to give a special lecture on “Religious Life of Buddhist Women in Thailand” for members of the International Ladies Association of Buddhism at Kodosan Temple in Yokohama.

Thai cooking demonstration for Lady Friends of Thailand Fellowship

On 27 October 2011, Mme. Aumaporn Futrakul, spouse of Ambassador invited 13 members of “Lady Friends of Thailand Fellowship”, a group of Japanese ladies who used to accompany their spouses for stationing in Thailand, for Thai food cooking demonstration at the Thai Residence. The menu included seafood glass noodle salad and Tom Yam Kung.
