On 16 July 2018, Mrs. Dheerangkun Uchino, First Secretary, was invited by Hitotsubashi University to give a lecture regarding the role of the Royal Thai Embassy and the relations between Thailand and Japan, to the students from the Global Leaders Program of the Faculty of Law, Hitotsubashi University. After the lecture, there was also the opportunity for exchanging views on many issues with the students.
On 14 July 2018, H.E. Mr. Bansarn Bunnag, the Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, presided over the secular side of the ordination of lay followers at Wat Paknam Japan in Chiba Prefecture, in order to earn merit on the occasion of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun’sRoyal Birthday. The Ambassador also met with the Thai people who attended the ceremony.
On 13 July 2018, the Royal Thai Embassy received a package from a child protection center in Japan with well-wishing messages and a thousand paper crane inside, which the children in the center desired to sent them as an encouragement for the Thai youth soccer team who were trapped in Tham Luang Nang Non cave in Chiang Rai. The Embassy was honored and extremely grateful to be the representative to receive this special gift and will sent the gift to the children at Chiang Rai as soon as possible.
On 12 July 2018, H.E. Mr. Bansarn Bunnag, the Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, hosted the farewell dinner in the honor ofH.E. Mr. Bansarn Bunnag, the Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, was invited to attend the annual general meeting of the Saitama-Thailand Friendship Association and gave a lecture on the development of Thailand’s economics and politics.
