On 17 May 2018, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag witnessed the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Cooperation on Environmental Cooperation between the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of Thailand and the Minister of the Environment of Japan. In addition, this is the second memorandum after signing the Joint Credit Mechanism in 2016.
On 15 May 2018, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag welcomed the trainees of the high level executive of the government finance division course, batch 5, led by Ambassador Linna Tangtasiri , Ambassador Attached to the Ministry on behalf of the group leader. Ambassador Bansarn gave a briefing on the overall Thailand – Japan relations to the delegation. In addition, they also listened to the briefing on trade and commercial issues by the representative of the government offices in Tokyo.
On 14 May, 2018, The Royal Thai Embassy, together with Thai Airways International Co., Ltd. organized the "Royal Silk Night” at the Ambassador's Residence to thank distinguished customers of Thai Airways International in Japan, and to expand the connection between the Royal Thai Embassy and important persons from various sectors.
On 9 May 2018, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag, together with officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Consul General of the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Osaka, met with approximately 50 Thai people residing in the Fukuoka area consisting of students, entrepreneurs, several fields of labour and housewives. On 9 May 2018, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag, together with the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, including Ambassador Linna Tangtasiri, Ambassador Attached to the Ministry, met with Mr. Hiroshi Ogawa, Fukuoka Governor to express ttheir appreciation for supporting to establish the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Fukuoka.
On 1 May 2018, members of the Kanagawa - Thailand Friendship League led by Mr. Hiroaki Shikida paid courtesy call on Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag to express their appreciation for the Embassy's assistance on the Kanagawa Prefecture's trip to Thailand during 25 - 31 March 2018.
On 27 April 2018, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag was invited to deliver the opening remarks at the JETRO's Thai Investment Seminar organized by Board of Investment, Thailand (BOI) and Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) at the JETRO Headquarter in Tokyo.
On 26 April 2018, members of a training programme organized by the National Anti-Corruption Commission paid a visit to the Embassy. They paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ambassador Bansarn and also listened to a briefing by Mr. Masahiko Kurisima, Senior Director of Research and International Division, Board of Audit, on the Japanese audit system.
On 25 April 2018, the Royal Thai Embassy, together with Yamamori Inc., a Thai curry producer, and Kitoku Shinryo Co., Ltd., Thai rice importer, held the Thai Night 2018 at the Embassy’s hall. This event aimed to promote Thai food particularly Thai curry that is popular among Japanese as well as Jasmine rice including Thai culture and Thai classical music to be well known. On this occasion, Ikemitsu Enterprise Co., Ltd., sponsored Thai beer and beverage in this event.
On 19 April 2018, Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado graciously attended the promotional event of “Japan through Diplomats’ Eyes” Photo Exhibition hosted by His Excellency Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag at the Thai Residence, Tokyo, with the presences of more than 70 ambassadors.
