On 15 March 2019, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag welcomed a delegation of ladies from Wakayama Prefecture who came to the Embassy to learn about the history of the Thai Residence whose former owner was originately from Wakayama Prefecture. The delegation expressed graditude to the Thai Government for maintaining the Residence, a symbol of friendship between Thailand and Japan, in a perfect manner.
On 12 March 2019, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag welcomed the delegation of the Office Attorney General of Thailand led by Mr. Pornsak Srinarong, Deputy Attorney General, the Attorney General Office of Thailand. The delegation visited at the Royal Thai Embassy in order to discuss on the current living condition of Thai citizens residing in Japan.
On 10 March 2019, Ms. Dheerangkun Uchino, First Secretary, and Ms. Tami Hashimoto, Information and Cultural Affairs Section, gave a lecture on Japan-Thailand relationship and Thai language to seventy of the first year students of Chiba University of Commerce who will visit Thailand for a study trip study from 2-6 April 2019.
On 28 February, 2019, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag and Madam visited the Otsuka Art Museum in Tokushima Prefecture , which is the second largest art gallery in Japan and the first gallery reproduced masterpieces of art around the world faithfully by ceramization technology as the masterpiece of porcelain panel painting in the world. The museum also collaborated with Wat Khruanwan Wanwihan in Bangkok to bring the mural painting on the canvas printed on the tiles and sent back to decorate at the temple in Thailand.
On 28 February 2019, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag paid a courtesy call on Mr. Hiroshi Gotoda, Deputy Governor of Tokushima Prefecture in order to strengthen the relationship between Thailand and the region of Japan. There are beautiful and impressive art and nature in Tokushima Prefecture, as well as LED industries in a world level.The Ambassador would like to bring the experience and best practices of Tokushima Prefecture to relevant organizations in Thailand, and also invited other regional companies to invest in the EEC zone in addition to the 9 companies currently investing in Thailand from Tokushima Prefecture. The Ambassador explained that the Consulate General of Osaka, which has covered over Tokushima Prefecture, supports Tokushima Prefecture in various aspects through close cooperation with Tokushima Prefecture and Thai people living in Tokushima Prefecture.
On 27 February, Ambassador attended the event hosted by Ms. Yoko Kamikawa, Member of the House of Representatives and former Minister of Justice of Japan. As a friend of Ms. Kamikawa and Shizuoka Prefecture, Ambassador delivered a remarks expressing his appreciation for her past efforts in enhancing judicial cooperation between Thailand and Japan during her tenure as Justice Minister.
On 27 February 2019, REV.Fr. Anusorn Pongsawat, Director of Darasamutr School, Sriracha, led the delegation of the executive members of the School to pay a courtesy call to Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag and explain about the ongoing cooperation projects between Darasamutr School and the organizations in Japan in order to promote exchanges and capacity buildings for students. The cooperation projects include an exchange of Darasamut students to Japan and a collaboration on curriculum development in accordance with the Thai Government’s “Eastern Economic Corridor” policy. In this regard, Ambassador Bansarn pledged support to the school’s programmes which help to promote the government’s strategy in the long run.
