On 20 December 2018, Mr. Hajime Sazaki, Member of the House of Representatives of Ishikawa Prefecture paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag in order to invite the ambassador to attend the valleyball tounament of PFU Blue Cats Team in Ishikawa prefecture and to cheer Ms. Chatchuon Moksri, Thai valleyball player, who is in this team. The Ambassador and the Royal Thai Embassy were glad to participate to encourage Thai sport player in Japan as well as PFU Blue Cats team in several ways.
On 17 December 2018, Ms. Dheerangkun Uchino, First Secretary, attended the Jenesys 2018 workshop “Exchange for Science and Technology” as guests of honour with Mr. Yasutaka Fukahori, Director of Friendship Ties Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. The participants of this exchange programme were students from Thailand and Singapore. They were sponsored by the Japanese governments to come to Japan to learn the innovation and technology as well as experienced Japanese culture for one week.
The Royal Thai Embassy and the Kanda University of International Studies held the 13th Thai Speech Contest at the Millenium Hall, Kanda University of International Studies. On 12 December 2018, Mr. Cherdchai Chaivaivid, Minister welcomed General Wanlop Rugsanaoh, the Secretary-General of the National Security Council of Thailand and the delegation at the Royal Thai Embassy. They came to Japan to exchange views on Counter - Terrorism and Cybersecurity with Japanese side. On this occasion, Minister Cherdchai gave a briefing about "Thailand - Japan and the challenge in 2020s"

On 3 December 2018, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag presided over the official opening ceremony of Banpu Power Japan at the hall of the Royal Thai Embassy. Ms. Somruedee Chaimongkol, CEO of Banpu Co., Ltd. Mr. Suthee Sukruen, CEO of Banpu Power Co., Ltd. and Mr. Wataru Shima, CEO of Banpu Power Japan Co., Ltd. also attended this event together with more than 200 distinguished guests.
On 30 November 2018, Mr. Cherdchai Chaivaivid, Minister welcomed Mr. Hiroyuki Sugiura, Governor of Mizuho. Mizuho city signed the agreement to enhance the relations with Khonkaen city in 2016. The Khonkaen Governor and Khonkaen Mayor led the delegation to Mizuho city between 11-13 May 2018 and the Governor of Mizuho will visit Thailand between 16 -19 December 2018. The Minister mentioned that the embassy is willing to help strengthening the Mizuho and Khonkaen relations.
On 30 November 2018, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag together with H.E. Mr. Weerasak Kowsurat, Minister of Tourism and Sport of Thailand and Mr.Yuthasak Supasorn, TAT Governor as well as Mr. Mr. Attakarn Wongchanamas, Consul-General in Fukuoka attended the opening ceremony of the Tourism Authority of Thailand which the government approved to reopen in order to tie the relations with Kyushu, Chugoku (some area) and Okinawa.
