On 21 February 2018, H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag presided over the 285th Meeting of the ASEAN Committee in Tokyo (ACT) at the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in Tokyo. The Ambassadors of ASEAN and representatives from 10 countries attended this meeting in order to continue to enhance the role and raise awareness of ASEAN in Japan.

On 8 February 2018, Team Thailand won the grand prize of the 45th International Snow Sculpture contest at the 69th Sapporo Snow Festival at Odori Park, Sapporo. The team comprised of 3 professional ice sculptures who created "Gai Chon" (Thai fighting cocks) sculpture to win the competition.
