The Ambassador met with President of SEIKO

On 6 July 2017, H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag met with Mr. Shinji Hattori, president of SEIKO group, at the SEIKO headquarter in Tokyo.
Both parties got the opportunity to discuss plans to strengthen the relationship between Seiko and Thailand, as well as investments in Thailand.

The Royal Thai Embassy held a Buddhist sermon given by Phra Ajarn Uthai Siritharo from the Khao-Yai Yanasampanno Temple in Nakhonrachasima

On 5 July 2017, H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag and Madame presided over the Buddhist Sermon given by Phra Ajarn Uthai Siritharo from the Khao-Yai Yanasampanno Temple in Nakhonrachasima at the Royal Thai Embassy hall. The Dharma sermon was given to the officials and employees at Royal Thai Embassy, as well as Thai people in Japan.  

Deputy Governor of Bangkok and delegation visited the Embassy

On 5 July 2017, a delegation of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, led by Pol. Lt. Gen. Amnuay Nimmano, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag at the Royal Thai Embassy. They came to Japan to learn more about Japanese city's administrative systems.

President of the National Anti-Corruption Commission and a delegation visited the Embassy

On 5 July 2017, H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag welcomed Pol. Gen. Watcharapol Prasarnrajkit, President of the National Anti-Corruption Commission and a delegation who were participating in a study visit to Japan, between 1-7 July 2017. On this occasion, they listened to a briefing about the corruption detection system of Japan, which was given by the related Japanese Authority at the Royal Thai Embassy.

Minister attended the opening reception of the Exhibition “SUNSHOWER: Contemporary Art from Southeast Asia 1980s to Now”

On 4 July 2017, Minister Cherdchai attended the opening reception of the Exhibition “SUNSHOWER: Contemporary Art from Southeast Asia 1980s to Now”.  The Exhibition, supported by all ASEAN Embassies in Tokyo, is held at the National Art Centre Tokyo and the Mori Art Museum, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of ASEAN form 5 July through 23 October 2017.

Deputy Prime Minister presided over the opening ceremony of the exhibition "Thailand: Brilliant Land of the Buddha"

On 3 July 2017, Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, Gen Thanasak Patimaprakorn presided over the opening ceremony of the exhibition "Thailand: Brilliant Land of the Buddha" at the National Museum of Tokyo. The event was attended by Ms. Chaweerat Kasetsoonton,  Assistant Minister of Culture, H.E.  Mr. Bansarn Bunnag, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, Mr. Itikom Pamarasoot, Admiral Deputy

Minister Counsellor gave a lecture to students at Keio University

On 29 July 2017, Miss Cataleya  Phatoomros, Minister Counsellor gave a lecture on “Thailand-Japan relations : Old and Modern Partners” to Keio students at Keio University. The topic included 600 years of relations between two countries generated into three parts: Royal Family level, Governmental level, and People to People level.

Election Committee visited the Embassy

During 28 June - 3 July 2017, members of the Election Committee of Thailand visited Japan to conduct study visits and to participate in briefings by the Japanese authorities concerned.

The Ambassador attended the Team Thailand Meeting, June 2017

On 27 June, 2017 H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag, attended the Team Thailand Meeting. This meeting allowed Thai organizations in Japan including; The Thai Embassy, the BOI, Commercial, Agriculture, Industry, Labour, Education, the TAT, Finance and Military, to collect information and report on the activities of the Royal Thai Embassy and the current economic and political situation in Japan. In addition, Team Thailand's plan for the next period, was also discussed.
