Mr. Eiji Hagiwara, Senior Executive Officer of Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd. paid a courtesy call to the Ambassador

On 6 June 2018, H.E. Mr. Bansarn Bunnag, the Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, welcomed Mr. Eiji Hagiwara, Senior Executive Officer, and the executives from Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd., which is Japan's major energy business operator, as they were paying a courtesy call to the Ambassador to report about the oil and gas business. In this regard, Mr. Hagiwara has informed that the company is ready to develop cooperation for energy security with Thailand in many aspects.

The Ambassador welcomed the Board of Directors of M.C.S. Steel Public Company Limited

On 5 June 2018, Dr. Naiyaun Chi, the President of M.C.S. Steel Plc., along with the senior executives of the company paid a courtesy call to H.E. Mr. Bansarn Bunnag, the Ambassador of Thailand to Tokyo, at the Royal Thai Embassy to introduce and receive advice on investment and business expansion in Japan.

The Mayor of Yamagata City paid a courtesy call to the Ambassador

On 5 June 2018, Takahiro Sato, the Mayor of Yamagata City, and his delegation paid a courtesy call to H.E. Mr. Bansarn Bunnag, the Ambassador of Thailand to Tokyo, to report on the progress of cooperation between Yamagata City and the Judo Association of Thailand Under The Patronage of His Majesty The King which the Ambassador acted as a witness during the signing of the cooperation in November 2017 at the Yamagata Prefecture.

The Governor of Mie Prefecture paid a courtesy call to the Ambassador

On 1 June 2018, Mr. Eikei Suzuki, the Governor of Mie Prefecture paid a courtesy call to H.E. Mr. Bansarn Bunnag, the Ambassador of Thailand to Tokyo, and discussed the official visit from Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak in July.

The Ambassador acted as the chair for the inaugural flight of NokScoot Airlines

On 1 June 2018, H.E. Mr. Bansarn Bunnag, the Ambassador of Thailand to Tokyo, presided over the inaugural flight of NokScoot using the Narita-Don Mueang route. On this occasion, the Ambassador congratulated and indicated that NokScoot's new flight route is a part of enhancing Japanese-Thai relations and strengthening the ties between the two countries.

The Governor of Mie Prefecture paid a courtesy call to the Ambassador

On 1 June 2018, Mr. Eikei Suzuki, the Governor of Mie Prefecture paid a courtesy call to H.E. Mr. Bansarn Bunnag, the Ambassador of Thailand to Tokyo, and discussed the official visit from Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak in July.

The Ambassador acted as a witness during the signing of an agreement between Siam Biomass Product Ltd. and Mitsui & Co. Ltd.

On 31 May 2018, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag acted as a witness during the signing of the Biomass Fuels Contract between Siam Biomass Product Ltd., by Mr. Surapol Kunanantakul, Managing Director, and Mitsui & Co. Ltd., by Mr. Kazuhiro Iguchi, General Manager of the Fuel Division, joined by Miss Natiya Suchinda, Minister (Commercial).

Thai and Japanese students from the OCA program visited the embassy

On 30 May 2018, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag welcomed the teachers and students from Chulalongkorn University, Chiang Mai University and Chuo University from the Off Campus Activities Program (OCA Visit Japan Program) led by Asst. Prof. Sirima Bunnag, Associate Dean of the Economics Faculty of Chulalongkorn University at the Royal Thai Embassy.

Minister welcomed the delegation of Bangkok Metropolitan Council

On 28 May 2018, Mr. Cherdchai Chaivaivid, Minister welcomed the delegation of the Bangkok Metropolitan Council led by Mr. Nirunde Praditkul, the 2nd Vice-Chairman of Bangkok Metropolitan Council at the Royal Thai Embassy. On this occasion, the delegation listened to the briefing of Thailand-Japan relations particularly the connection with the other cities in Japan.
