The 1st Thai Festival in Saga

On 20 October 2018, Ambassador Bansarn BUNNAG presided over the opening ceremony of the first Thai Festival in Saga with Mr. Yoshinori Yamaguchi, Governor of Saga, and Mr. Attakarn Wongchanamas, Consul General of Thailand to Fukuoka. The Thai Festival in Saga was held for the first time this year, after the Royal Thai Embassy had cooperated with Saga Prefecture to organize the Thai Fair in Saga in 2017 to commemorate the 130th anniversary of Japan and Thailand Diplomatic relations.

The Ambassador met with Saga Governor

On 19 October, the Ambassador and the Thai delegation had a call on the Governor of Saga to discuss ways foward in furthering the cooperation between Thailand and Saga. Ambassador Bansarn informed the Governor of the Thai Government’s policy to enhance relations between Thailand and local governments of Japan. The Ambassador met with Senior Executive Officer of Mizuho Bank

On 17 October 2018, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag had a lunchon meeting with Mr. Seiji Imai, Senior Executive Officer of Mizuho Bank.
On this occassion, both sides discussed the development of EEC as well as the investment. On 4 July 2018, the Mizuho Bank supported the Eastern Economic Corridor Policy Committee by holding a seminar under the theme of "EEC: Thailand 4.0 in action" at Keidanren where the Ambassador gave an opening remarks and organzied the exhibition including mini project model to be displayed.

Minister Counsellor attended ASEAN Festival in Japan 2018

On Sunday, 14 October 2018, Minister Counsellor Salinee attended the ASEAN Festival in Japan 2018, organised by the ASEAN Youth Network in Japan where the Thai Students’ Association in Japan under the Royal Patronage (TSAJ) is also a member. At the event, there were several activities arranged by ASEAN students including an exhibition of ASEAN countries, a national dress’s show, and leisure activities.

Embassy held religious ceremony and activities in remembrance of His Majesty late King Bhumibol

Ambassador Bansarn, Madam Yuppadee, Thai diplomats, spouses and Thai citizens in Japan attended the religious ceremony and activities in remembrance of His Majesty late King Bhumibol on occasion of the passing anniversary of His Majesty late King Bhumibol on 13 October 2018.

The Ambassador attended the Japan through Diplomats’ Eyes Photo Exhibition

On 10 October 2018, with the presence Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado, the Honorary Chairperson of Japan through Diplomats’ Eyes Photo Exhibition, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag, on his capacity as the Chairman of the Executive Committee attended the awarding ceremony and opening reception of this year’s Photo Exhibition held at Roppongi Hills Café.

The Ambassador presided over the Shoyu Day Reception Party

On 1 October 2018, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag gave an opening remarks together with H.E. Mr. Ken Saito, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (at that time) at the Royal Park Hotel. On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed that Shoyu is popular in Thailand and is also good as a seasoning for Thai cuisine.
