On 11 March 2016, Mr. Apichart Chinwanno, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand visited Japan to attend the 6th Japan-Thailand Political Partnership Consultations or JTPPC with Mr. Shinsuke Sugiyama, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs to discuss bilateral issues between Japan and Thailand, as well as how to further promote the cooperation on regional and international issues.
On 10 March 2016, Minister Bhakavat Tanskul, represented the Royal Thai Embassy in welcoming the delegation from BOI’s Regional Investment and Economic Center 1- 4 and delivered a lecture on Thailand - Japan relations as well as how to expand Thailand’s investment in Japan.

On 3 March 2016, H.E. Mr. Bansarn Bunnag, Ambassador received a call by the new Ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to Japan, H.E. Ms. Rabat Fatima.
On 2 March 2016, Mr. Mitsuru Murai, Chairman of the J.League, and Mr. Daisuke Nakanishi, Managing Director, paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag to discuss on how to further develop the cooperation between Thailand and Japan through soccer exchange.
On 1st March 2016, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag, Madame, and officers from the Royal Thai Embassy made merit at Wat Pa Bhuddharangsee, which is a Thai Temple in Tokyo. Wat Pa Bhuddarangsee will hold a special activity on 10 April 2016. The details will be announced later.
On 26th February 2016, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag attended the 9th International MANGA Award 2016 held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, on the purpose of using the Japanese comic or "MANGA" to promote cultural exchange and better understanding between Japanese and foreign countries.
On 26th February 2016, Japanese officers studying Thai language from 9 different prefectures paid a courtesy visit to the Ambassador and exchanged opinions with the Minister Counsellor of the Office of Labour and the Consular section.
