On 11 September 2020, Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun welcomed Ms.TANAKA Kaho, who is affected by Rett Syndrome, together with her mother Mrs. TANAKA Tomoko, under the 2020 Japan Barrier-Free Project. Ambassador gave his strong encouragement for Ms. TANAKA Kaho and her family to overcome obstacles and be able to live an enjoyable life. He also expressed his full support for a better livelihood for the people with disability and to make society more inclusive for everyone.

On 19August 2020, H.E. Mr. KOBAYASHI Hideaki, Former Ambassador of Japan to Thailand, and Mr. TATSUMA Toshiro, Visiting Professor at Shoin University and Advisor to Foreign Press Centre, met Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun. They have a fruitful discussion on ways to promote exchanges on education, medical field, media and local-to-local cooperation between Thailand and Japan.
On 18 August 2020, Mr. SUZUKI Eikei, Governor of Mie Prefecture, together with his delegation and Mr. Noritada Mitsubayashi, the President and CEO of Yamamori Inc. – one of the key private companies operating in Mie, paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun, and had lunch at the Ambassador’s Residence. On 13 August 2020, Ambassador Singtong participated in “The 299th ASEAN Committee in Tokyo (ACT) Virtual Meeting” chaired by H.E. Mr. Myint Thu, Ambassador of Myanmar and Chair of the ACT. This is the first ACT meeting after Myanmar assumed the ACT Chairmanship in July 2020. Embracing the new normal amidst the ongoing COVID-19, this meeting was held through an online platform. During the Meeting, participating Ambassadors and representative shared information and exchanged views on the situation in respective countries while confirming close cooperation among ASEAN Embassies in Tokyo in efforts with regard to the COVID-19.
On 12 August 2020, the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo organised the auspicious ceremony to celebrate the Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, at the Royal Thai Embassy’s Hall. The ceremony was presided over by Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun and attended by officials of the Team Thailand in Tokyo and their spouses. The attendees also took this opportunity to sign the congratulatory book on Her Majesty The Queen Mother's Birthday Anniversary.
On 5 August 2020, Mr. MATSUTA Tomomi, Mayor of Misato Town, Akita Prefecture, called on Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun to present a DVD recording messages of support and encouragement from Akita’s youthfor the Badminton Association of Thailand and schools in Nonthaburi Province.Misato Townis a host town for the Thai national badminton team to practice and familiarise themselves to Japan’s climate before competing in the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
