On 15 May 2017, H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag and Madam Yupadee Bunnag presided over the Thailand Cultural Event 2017 for the Asia Pacific Ladies Friendship Society (ALFS) at the hall of the Royal Thai Embassy. There were about 100 members participating.
On 20 April 2017, H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag attended the founding ceremony ofthe MinebeaMitsumi Co., Ltd. The company is a merger of Minebea Co., Ltd. and Mitsumi Co., Ltd. The ceremony was held at the Imperial Hotel, Tokyo and the invitation was extended by Mr. Yoshihisa Kainuma, President and CEO of the company. More than 1,000 attendees joined the event.
The merger is aimed at increasing the efficiency of the business as a combined endeavor. Minebea specialized in the manufacture ofprecision mechanical parts, while Mitsumi specialized in electronic parts.
