On 19 November 2017, H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag has assigned Mr. Cherdchai Chaivaivid, Minister to attend the Hiroshima Loi Kratong Hotel Century 21 in Hiroshima which was held by the Hiroshima-Thailand Association. It aimed to tie the relationship between Thai and Japanese people in Hiroshima. In the event, there were thai traditional dance and music performed by Thai people in Hiroshima. More than 200 people participated this event.
On 5 November 2017, H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag and representative golf players from the Royal Thai Embassy, participated in the ACT Golf Tournament 2017. The event was held by the Royal Embassy of Cambodia, together with the International Sports Promotion Society (ISPS) at Toyosato Golf Club, Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture. Approximately 80 persons participated in this event.

On 30 October 2017, H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag assigned Ms. Salinee Phonprapai, Minister Counsellor to be the representative to attend the Asia Pacific Ladies Friendship Society (ALFS) Annual Charity Golf Tournament 2017. Mr. Bansarn Bunnag, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan presided over the Offering Ceremony of Sandalwood Flowers for the Royal Cremation Ceremony of His Majesty late King Bhumibol Adulyadej at the Royal Thai Embassy. On 23 October 2017, H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag led the Team Thailand from Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo, Osaka together with the Head of Thai offices in Japan and the representative of Honorary Consulate-General in Nagoya to attend the worship and wreath-laying ceremony on the occasion of King Rama V’s memorial day at Nittai-ji Temple, Nagoya, Aichi prefecture.
On 4 October 2017, Mr.Shigeyuki Konaga, Deputy Mayor of Shizuoka City, along with officers from Shizuoka paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag to discuss the cooperation between Shizuoka City and Thailand, and on this occasion, the delegation handed a proposal letter to the Royal Thai Embassy, requesting for Thailand’s consideration of giving 4 elephants to Nihon Daira zoo in Shizuoka, which is the largest zoo in Japan with a purpose of breeding and conserving elephant species in Japan for the future generations.
