Students from Itabashidaiyon Elementary School visited the Embassy

On 9 February 2017, the students from Itabashidaiyon Elementary School, Itabashi ward, Tokyo attended a lecture about Thailand which is one programme of the "Olympic Paralympic in Tokyo" project at the hall of the Royal Thai Embassy. It aims students to get to know and study more about foreign countries. On this occasion, Mr. Nattapong Lathapipat, Minister Counsellor, welcomed the students and Ms. Ranida Chamchalerm, Counsellor together with the embassy staffs gave the lecture about Thailand-Japan relations and answered questions about Thailand as well.

The Global School Lunch Project at Ohara Elementary School

On 8 February 2017, Mr.Nattapong Lathapipat, Minister Counsellor, Miss Ranida Chamchalerm, Counsellor, along with staffs from the Royal Thai Embassy was invited by Ohara Elementary School from Shinagawa ward to join them in the Global School Lunch Project where students get to have Thai food including Kapao rice (chicken with basil), Thai fried shrimp cake (Tod-Mun) and vegetable soup (Gaeng-Jued) as their lunch.

The award-giving ceremony of the Logo Competition on the occasion of the 130th Anniversary of Thailand-Japan Diplomatic Relations

On 7 February 2017, the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan held the award-giving ceremony of the Logo Competition on the occasion of the 130th Anniversary of Thailand-Japan Diplomatic Relations at the hall of the Royal Thai Embassy. H.E. Mr. Bansarn Bunnag, the Ambassador of Thailand to Japan along with Mr. Kazuya Nashida, Director-General, the Southeast and Southwest Asian Affairs Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan presided over and gave opening remarks at the event.

Students from Machida Municipal Sakai Junior High School visited the Embassy

On 27 January 2017, 6 students from Machida Municipal Sakai Junior High School visited the Royal Thai Embassy to study about foreign culture and lifestyle related to Japan. The activities included watching a DVD on Thailand in all aspects and Thailand-Japan

The Mayor of Mizuho City paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador

On 25 January 2017, Mr. Kouemon Ishizuka, Mayor of Mizuho city, Tokyo paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag. On this occasion, both sides exchanged views and opinions on the pathway of the bilateral cooperation.

The Ambassador and Madam met with the Hotel Okura Tokyo

On 24 January 2017, H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag and Madam welcomed Ph.D. Nobuo Shirasuna from Kobe International University and officers from Hotel Okura Tokyo. On this occasion, they exchanged views and opinions on the "17th Gardening in Okura"

Winners of Kyoritsu International Foundation’s Japanese speech contest paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador

On 18 January 2016, five winners of the 4th Kyoritsu International Foundation’s Japanese speech contest paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag at the Royal Thai Embassy. The Ambassador talked with them about the Japanese speech contest and this visit to Japan.

On 13 January 2017, Mr. Baworn Sattayawuthiphong, Minister Counsellor (Industrial) was the representative of the Royal Thai Embassy to witness the signing of the sales agreement for alternative energy business between Dr. Sumet  Suttapukti, Chairman & CEO of Inter Far East Wind International Co., Ltd and Mr. Shigeru Fukuhara, Director, Member of the Board, the Furukawa Battery Co., Ltd. (FB Battery) at the head office of FB Co., Ltd. in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture.

Officers from the Nenbutsu Buddhist Sect of Japan paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador

On 12 January 2017, officers from the Nenbutsu Buddhist Sect of Japan, Kobe city, Hyogo Prefecture paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag. On this occasion, both sides exchanged views and opinions on organizing the Buddhist merit making ceremony held on the 100th day of the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej
