On 26 April 2018, members of a training programme organized by the National Anti-Corruption Commission paid a visit to the Embassy. They paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ambassador Bansarn and also listened to a briefing by Mr. Masahiko Kurisima, Senior Director of Research and International Division, Board of Audit, on the Japanese audit system.
On 25 April 2018, the Royal Thai Embassy, together with Yamamori Inc., a Thai curry producer, and Kitoku Shinryo Co., Ltd., Thai rice importer, held the Thai Night 2018 at the Embassy’s hall. This event aimed to promote Thai food particularly Thai curry that is popular among Japanese as well as Jasmine rice including Thai culture and Thai classical music to be well known. On this occasion, Ikemitsu Enterprise Co., Ltd., sponsored Thai beer and beverage in this event.
On 19 April 2018, Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado graciously attended the promotional event of “Japan through Diplomats’ Eyes” Photo Exhibition hosted by His Excellency Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag at the Thai Residence, Tokyo, with the presences of more than 70 ambassadors.
On 4 April 2018, H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag welcomed H.E. Mrs. Busaya Mathelin, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and exchanged views and opinions with the officials at the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo.
On 3 April 2018, H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag hosted a luncheon in honour of H.E. Mrs. Busaya Mathelin, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.
It was a working luncheon with Japanese academics, namely, Mr. Tsutomu Kikuchi, Professor of Aoyama Gakuin University, and Mr. Ken Jimbo, Associate Professor of Keio University.
On 2 April 2018, H.E. Mrs. Busaya Mathelin, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and delegation visited Japan to attend the 7th Japan – Thailand Political Partnership Consultations: JTPPC, which Mr. Kazuyuki Yamazaki, Senior Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs hosted. On this occasion, both sides exchanged views on bilateral
cooperation, regional cooperation and other issues that Thailand and Japan felt were important to their strategic partnership.
On 30 March 2018, H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag witnessed the MOU Signing Ceremony between the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperative (MOAC) and the Japan Agricultural Exchange Council (JAEC) at the Royal Thai Embassy in order to extend the cooperation under the ASEAN Young Farm Leaders Training Program in Japan between April, 1, 2018 – 31 March, 2023.
On 29 March 2018, H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag welcomed the delegation of the program of the high level Justice Administration, Batch 9 led by Mr. Wattanachai Kumwongdee, Deputy Director General of the office of the Attorney General at the Royal Thai Embassy, Tokyo. The delegation listened to the briefing about Thailand – Japan relations as well as Thai and Japanese law issues, which are similar to each other such as both countries use Civil Law, or guarantees of prosecution independence.
