The Ambassador presided over the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition of Japan through Diplomats’ Eyes 2018 in Nagoya

On 16 January 2019, On behalf of the Chairman of the Japan through Diplomats’ Eyes Committee, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag together with his spouse and Mr. Kazuya Tsugimatsu, President of the Central Park, Mr. Yoshihiro Miwa, Honorary Consul- General, and the representatives from Nagoya city presided over the 14th Japan through Diplomats’ Eyes 2018 in Nagoya. This has been held at the Central Gallery of Central Park during 16-22 January 2019.

The Ambassador welcomed the chairman of the Local Government Committee of the National Legislative Assembly

On 11 January 2019, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag welcomed Lt-Gen. Charnchai Phuthong, Chairman of the Local Government Committee of the National Legislative Assembly, and the delegation at hall of the Royal Thai Embassy, Tokyo. On this occasion, the Ambassador gave a briefing about Thailand – Japan relations.

Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand Visiting Japan

From 5-9 January 2019, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag joined Mrs. Busaya Mathelin, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, during her participation in STEP (Strategic Exchanges on Practical Level), the programme organized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan with the aim to deepen the understanding of Japan through exchanges of views with Japanese experts from various sectors.

The Ambassador presided over the seminar of the "Secondary Destinations" seminar

On 10 January 2019, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag presided over the seminar of the "Secondary Destinations" seminar at the Imperial Tokyo Hotel which organized by Thai Airways International Public Co., Ltd (TG), the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) in order to support the "Secondary Destinations" the Royal Thai Government's campaign.

The Royal Thai Embassy participated in a meeting with the planning committee of Japan - Thailand Business Forum (JTBF)

On 26 December 2018, Minister Cherdchai Chaivaivid, together with the embassy’s members participated in a meeting with the planning committee of Japan - Thailand Business Forum (JTBF). Both sides take this opportunity to discuss about the plan to collaborate on next year’s activities including setting up a window channel to assist Thai investors in Japan and organising a seminar and photo exhibition about Thailand and Japan business partnership.

The delegation from Viemus Music School visited the Embassy

On 21 December 2018, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag welcomed the delegation from Viemus Music School led by Mr. Akkarawat Srinarong, the Founder of Viemus Music School at the Royal Thai Embassy, Tokyo.

Young Ambassadors from Yachiyo City, Chiba Prefecture visited the Embassy

On 20 December 2018, Mrs. Dheerangkun Uchino, First Secretary welcomed 12 young ambassadors from Yachiyo city, Chiba prefecture who will go to Bangkok for the cultural exchange according to the cultural exchange program between Yachiyo city and Bangkok in January 2019.

Member of the House of Representatives of Ishikawa Prefecture paid a courtesy on the Ambassador

On 20 December 2018, Mr. Hajime Sazaki, Member of the House of Representatives of Ishikawa Prefecture paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag in order to invite the ambassador to attend the valleyball tounament of PFU Blue Cats Team in Ishikawa prefecture and to cheer Ms. Chatchuon Moksri, Thai valleyball player, who is in this team. The Ambassador and the Royal Thai Embassy were glad to participate to encourage Thai sport player in Japan as well as PFU Blue Cats team in several ways.

The Royal Thai Embassy attended the Jenesys 2018 workshop “Exchange for Science and Technology”

On 17 December 2018, Ms. Dheerangkun Uchino, First Secretary, attended the Jenesys 2018 workshop “Exchange for Science and Technology” as guests of honour with Mr. Yasutaka Fukahori, Director of Friendship Ties Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. The participants of this exchange programme  were students from Thailand and Singapore. They were sponsored by the Japanese governments to come to Japan to learn the innovation and technology as well as experienced Japanese culture for one week.

The 13th Thai Speech Contest

The Royal Thai Embassy and the Kanda University of International Studies held the 13th Thai Speech Contest at the Millenium Hall, Kanda University of International Studies. Mr. Atsushi Kasuga, Head of Southeast Asia Languages Department and Mrs. Salinee Phonprapai, Minister Counsellor of the Royal Thai Embassy presided over and gave an opening remarks.
