On 9 November 2018, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag presided over the meeting with the Thai Solar Energy Companies at the Royal Thai Embassy. There were executive officials of the Royal Thai Embassy and head of govenment officials participated.
On 9 November 2018, Mr. Wataru Shima, CEO of Banpu Power Japan, Tokyo Branch paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag to introduce himself. On this occasion, both sides discussed the company's business plan in Japan and the launch of the company which will be held officially soon.
On 8 November 2018, a culture salon for Diners Club members held an activity titled "Visit the Royal Thai Embassy" at the Embassy Hall. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag welcomed and gave a briefing about Thailand-Japan relations and history to the 45 participants and the staff of the Tourism Authority of Thailand introduced the tourist information in Thailand. In the event, there was a Thai traditional dance performed at the stage and Thai cuisine was served. In addition, the participants had opportunity to visit the Thai Residence as well.
On 7 November 2018, Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado, the Honorary Chairperson of Japan through Diplomats’ Eyes Photo Exhibition, presided over the executive meeting for the Japan through Diplomats' Eyes Photo Exhibition which Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag has been acting as the Chairman of the Executive Committee at the Royal Thai Embassy. This meeting aimed to set the theme for the next photo exhibition in year 2019 which will be announced later.
On 7 November 2018, Mr. Gaku Sakumoto, the President of Sake Brewing Society of Okinawa paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag. Mr. Sakumoto is the president of Suisen Sake Brewery which manufactures Awamori. On this occasion, both sides exchanged views and opinions on how to promote Awamori in the future in both countries. Awamori is distilled liquor made from Thai rice and Thai production method was transfered to Ryukyu from Thailand.
On 6 November 2018, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag presided over the reception party with Mr. Takuya Okada, Honorary Chairman and Advisor of AEON Group to welcome 60 Thai and Japanese student who participated in the program “Thailand – Japan Teenage Ambassador” at the Royal Thai Embassy.
On 4- 6 November 2018, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag led Team Thailand in Tokyo to visit Yamagata prefecture according to the invitation of Mr. Masashi Ueno, President of the Shonai Bank to attend the reception party for the Yamagata – Thailand establishment celebration. The Yamagata-Thailand Friendship Association was established after Ambassador Bansarn visited Yamagata prefecture between 29 -30 November 2017 and it aimed to enhance the cooperation between Thailand and Yamagata in every dimension.
On 4 November 2018, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag assigned Ms. Nathiya Suchida, Minister (Commercial Affairs) to be the representative to attend the Kathina Ceremony at Wat Rakang. This ceremony aimed to collect fund for moving to the new place in the near future.
On 31 October 2018, Ms. Dheerangkun Uchino, First Secretary attended the exhibition of the 45th Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program (SSEAYP) at the National Olympics Memorial Youth Center. This "Cultural Exchange Program" is playing an important role for cultivating the youth and deepening mutual understanding among Japan and ASEAN member countries.
On 31 October 2018 Minister Cherdchai Chaivaivid joined other ASEAN diplomats at the “ASEAN Design Selection 2018” event, which showcases selected products from ASEAN countries that have been given the “Good Design Award” from the Japan Institute of Design Promotion in collaboration with the ASEAN-Japan Centre. This is part of the Good Design Exhibition 2018 which is held from 31 October to 4 November 2018 at Tokyo Midtown. The exhibition also features Thai products which have been awarded “Design Excellence Award” or “DEmark” by the Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce of Thailand.
