เมื่อวันที่ 24 ตุลาคม 2554 นางสาว Hisae Tai ผู้จัดการทั่วไปเป็นตัวแทนจากกลุ่มบริษัท TEIJIN ประจำกรุงโตเกียวเข้าพบนายสิงห์ทอง ลาภพิเศษพันธุ์ อัครราชทูต เพื่อมอบสารแสดงความเสียใจต่อเหตุการณ์น้ำท่วมในประเทศไทย และยังได้ส่งเงินช่วยเหลือประเทศไทยเป็นจำนวนเงิน 15,000,000 เยน
On 24 October 2011, Ms. Hisae Tai, General Manager of Teijin Group in Tokyo, paid a courtesy call on Minister Singtong Lapisatepun. Ms. Tai, as the representative of the group, kindly delivered a letter of condolence on Thai flood and made 15,000,000 yen donation to assist relief efforts.
On 24 October 2011, Mr. Yukihiro Ikeda, Head of Niigata Prefecture Office in Tokyo, paid a courtesy call on Minister Singtong Lapisatepun. As the representative of Niigata Prefecture, Mr. Ikeda kindly delivered a letter of condolence on Thai flood and made 300,000 yen donation to help the victims.

On 21 September 2011, Ambassador Virasakdi Futrakul and his spouse attended the ASEAN Fair in Osaka, which was held at Takashimaya Department Store. The fair was organized by ASEAN-Japan Centre. Mr. Manopchai Vongphakdi, Consul-General from the Royal Thai Consulate General in Osaka also attended the event.
On 1 October 2011, Mme Aumaporn Futrakul, Ambassor’s spouse, attended the 3rd Thai Carving Contest at Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center, Hamamatsucho, organized by Japan Thai Carving Association. She made the opening speech and joined the soap carving selection panel, in which 40 pieces of carved soap were nominated for prizes. Mr. Jamnong Nirungsan, Chairman of Thai Chef’s Association, and Chef Chart Kunsri from Shangri-la Hotel, were also invited to join the panel.
On 3rd October 2011, the Ambassador and his spouse hosted a dinner at the Thai Residence in honour of Mr. Naotake Takatsukasa,Head of Ise Shrine and Mme. Kumiko Takatsukasa as well as members of the Kasumi-kai.The Royal Thai Ensemble, consisting of Embassy officials, played Thai traditional instruments for the guests.
On 6-7 October 2011, the Ambassador and his spouse participated in the Ambassadors’ Study Tour to Miyagi and Iwate organized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of JapanThey observed the reconstruction of the disaster areas, visited Matsushima and experienced making traditional crafts.
On 6 September 2011, the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo, the Royal Thai Consulate General in Osaka and the Ministry of Culture of Thailand, co-organized a traditional Thai puppet performance on the “Legend of Lunar Eclipse” by Joe Louis. More than 500 people attended the event. The performance was to celebrate the 84th Birthday Anniversary of H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej and to support cultural exchange between Japan and Thailand. All proceeds were donated to ASHINAGA to assist orphans from the Great East Japan Earthquake.
