




On 4 May 2020 at 10.00 hours, Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun presided over the ceremony to commemorate the auspicious Anniversary of the Coronation of King Rama X at the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo. The ceremony was attended by officials of Team Thailand in Tokyo and their spouses.
On the same occasion, the Ambassador Singtong, his spouse, together with the Embassy’s officials, their spouses and staff joined hands to pack necessary items for Thai people in Japan who are in need of help during the COVID-19 situation. Each pack contains alcohol hand sanitising gel, face mask, ready-to-eat food and other necessary items.
On 27 April 2020, 35 Thai people living in Japan returned to Thailand by Japan Airlines flight JL 031 from Haneda Airport and arrived in Thailand at 15.40 hours.
On 24 April 2020, 31 Thai people living in Japan returned to Thailand by All Nippon Airways (ANA) flight NH847 from Haneda Airport and arrived in Thailand at 15.30 hours.
On 21 April 2020, 97 Thai people living in Japan returned to Thailand by All Nippon Airways (ANA) flight NH847 from Haneda Airport, and Thai Airways flight TG643 from Narita Airport arrived in Thailand at 15.30 hours. and 16.30 hours.
On 24 March 2020, Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun assigned Mr. Romdej Phisalpong, Minister-Counselor to welcome the 31st All Japan Robot Sumo Tournament organising delegation, a robot competition that the Thai national team will later join for three consecutive years.
On 3 March 2020, Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, and Mrs. Porndee Lapisatepun, Ambassador's spouse, gave an interview to Asahi Weekl’s special column "Ambassador's Lunch".
Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun expressed his appreciation to Mrs. AMINO Taeko, President of Amino Co., Ltd, importer of artificial flowers made of sola pith plant which can only be found in Thailand. Amino Co., Ltd names such flowers as “Sola Flower”
On 19 March 2020 Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun welcomed Prof. Dr. KENICHI Eto, President of Asia Mirai Network, a non-profit organization in Japan, and Dr. Sopak Supakul, Former Vice President of Thai Students’ Association in Japan under The Royal Patronage (TSAJ).
On 18 March 2020 Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun gave an interview to RBA Times on his student time in Japan, his life experience since the beginning of his diplomat career and his perspectives on the close relations between Thailand and Japan. He also welcomed Mr. NOBOHIRO Kume, President of RBA International, on the same occasion.
On 17 March 2020, H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, presented his Letters of Credence accredited him to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Japan, to His Majesty the Emperor of Japan at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo.
