... Relation. Today in the year 1887, the “Declaration of Amity and Commerce between Japan and Siam” was signed by Prince Devawongse Varopakarn, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Siam, and Mr. Shuzo Aoki, Vice Foreign Minister of Japan. At that time, Japan and Thailand was the first two countries in Asia that concluded an agreement of modern diplomatic relations. In 1897, Japanese Legation in Bangkok was established following by an establishment of Siam’s Legation in Tokyo in 1899.

The Ambassador visited Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture

The work plan of the association, which also organized the Thai Festival in Sendai in every year, was reported to the Ambassador and Mayor. The Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand Office and the Thai Airways Regional Director also attended the ceremony. On the last day of the competition, the trophy was awarded to Asanoyama, the winner of this competition.
