... Japan-Thailand diplomatic relations, held during 24 July - 30 November 2017, at the Diplomatic Archives, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. The exhibition displays rare historical items from 1887 when Japan and Thailand established the diplomatic relations, such as the Declaration of Amity and Commerce between the Kingdom of Siam and Japan, the Letters of Credence of the First Ambassadors of the two countries, the documents about an unofficial visit of His Majesty King Prajadhipok, the arrival of the first Thai elephant to Japan in 1934, and the document on the visit to Japan by His Majesty King Bhumibol in 1963.
