The Ambassador paid a courtesy call on the the Governor of Miyagi Prefecture and the Mayor of Sendai City

... determination in supporting commerce, investment, and tourism in Miyagi Prefecture. In 2015, there were approximately 10,000 Thai people visiting Miyagi. The number of Thai tourists has augmented following 2013 when the Japanese Government exempted Visas for Thai tourists. On this occasion, Miyagi Prefecture and Sendai City expressed their appreciation to Thai people for helping support the reconstruction of Miyagi Prefecture and Sendai City.

2013.07.30-31 Ambassador visited Toyama Prefecture

Only between April – July 2013 are there 6,900 Thai tourists visiting Toyama prefecture already, which is about 1.8 times larger than that of the same period’s previous year.
