Ambassador of Romania pays a courtesy on Ambassador Singtong to discuss on cooperation on “Japan through Diplomats’ Eyes” Photo Exhibition.

On 15 April 2021, H.E. Mrs. Tatiana IOSIPER, Ambassador of Romania to Japan, paid a courtesy call on Ambassador SingtongLapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan. Both discussed possible cooperation on “Japan through Diplomats’ Eyes” Photo Exhibition, to which HIH Princess Takamado has served as honorary president of the exhibition’s executive committee.

“Japan through Diplomats’ Eyes” Photo Exhibition started in 1998 with an aim to be a window for foreign diplomats in Japan to tell their stories and perspectives of Japan through photography. Selected photos will be exhibited in different prefectures in Japan to allow Japanese people to appreciate Japan from a different angle. The Photo Exhibition also helps promote cultural exchanges and strengthen bonds between foreign diplomats in Japan and the Japanese society.

In 2018-2019, H.E. Mr. Bansarn Bunnag, then Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, assumed the Chairmanship of the Executive Committee of Japan through Diplomats’ Eyes Photo Exhibition.
