President of Kitoku Shinryo paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador

On 19 April 2021, Mr. Makoto Hirayama, President of Kitoku Shinryo Co., Ltd. paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun at the Royal Thai Embassy. They exchanged views on the situation of Thai jasmine rice in the Japanese market. Currently the demand for Thai rice is increasing as more people cook Thai food at home in order to avoid eating out amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kitokushi Shinryo is the first Thai rice importer in Japan and has been collaborating with the Royal Thai Embassy to promote Thai food in Japan.
