Ambassador of Thailand welcomed Dr. SUNAMI Atsushi, President of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation

On 22 April 2021, H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand, welcomed Dr. SUNAMI Atsushi, President of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation, during the introductory call. Both sides exchanged views on cooperation in Thailand with the Nippon Foundation and the Sasakawa Peace Foundation such as projects on Distance Learning and on Elimination of Leprosy, among others. In addition, they discussed about cooperation between Thailand and the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) of Japan, where Dr. SUNAMI also served as a professor and now as the Executive Advisor to the President. Dr. HORIBA Akiko, Program Director and Senior Program Officer, Asia Peace Initiatives Department, and officials from the Royal Thai Embassy also presented in this courtesy call.
