Ambassador presented Thailand-Japan Friendship Cup to Sumo Champion Ozeki TERUNOFUJI

On 23 May 2021, H.E. Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun attended the Summer Sumo Tournament 2021 at Tokyo’s Ryogoku Kokugikan and presented the Thailand-Japan Friendship Cup to the tournament champion Ozeki TERUNOFUJI.

The presentation of the Thailand-Japan Friendship Cup to the winner of Grand Sumo Tournaments held in Tokyo started in 2017 when Thailand and Japan celebrated their 130th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

Besides Thailand, Ambassadors and representatives from other 8 countries also attended the Tournament to present certificates and trophies to the Champion, namely Mongolia, Bulgaria, the United States of America, the Czech Republic, Hungary, United Arab Emirates, France, and Mexico.
