Executive Vice President of JETRO paid a courtesy call to the Ambassador

On 3 August 2021, Mr. AOYAMA Shigetoshi, Executive VICE President (in charge of Southeast Asia) of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), along with his team from the Planning Department, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand, on the occasion of his assumption of duty.

Both sides exchanged views on human resources development, particularly the Thai students in Japan. They also discussed the promotion of innovation-related trade and investment, with a focus on the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). In addition, the discussion touched upon Thailand’s BCG economy model, which is in line with Japan’s net-zero emissions target, and support from JETRO in promoting investment in this field.
