Tomisawa donated surgical masks to the Royal Thai Embassy

On 18 August 2021, Mr. HAYASHI Kazuhisa, President of Tomisawa Co., Ltd. (Tottori Prefecture), and his management team paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand, to donate 4,400 pieces of “Japan 99” and “Kiwami” surgical masks for public benefit. Mr. Pornchai Yongwattanasoontorn, Managing Director of Bridge Integration Co., Ltd. (Thailand), an importer of Tomisawa masks to Thailand, also attended the donation ceremony via an online platform.
According to the President of Tomisawa, the masks are of high quality and effectively prevent 99% of the spread of COVID-19, thanks to its premium materials and advanced-technology manufacturing process, which certify the “Made in Japan” standard. On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed his gratitude towards the President and saw this gesture as a manifestation of true friendship between Thailand and Japan. The Ambassador also admired Japanese SMEs, including Tomisawa, which are equipped with hi-tech and world-class technology and hoped that the Embassy would be able to support the linkage between Thai and Japanese SMEs. Furthermore, the Ambassador pointed out the investment opportunities in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) whereby the medical devices are one of the targeted industries.
This donation has also come to the attention of the Tottori Prefecture. After returning from Tokyo, the President will report this event to the Tottori Governor.
