Chairman of Sumitomo Forestry paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador

On 16 August 2021, Mr. ICHIKAWA Akira, Chairman of the Board and Representative Director of Sumitomo Forestry Co. Ltd., together with the company’s President and executives, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand, to introduce themselves and strengthen the amiable ties.

The Chairman of Sumitomo forestry briefly explained the company’s profile, paying particular attention to their current investment in Thailand in the areas of wooden pallet and real estate with the Property Perfect PCL as the company’s main business partner in Thailand. Both sides also discussed Thailand’s BCG (Bio-Circular-Green) economy model and potential investment in this field which goes hand in hand with Sumitomo Forestry’s philosophy that cares for nature and environment. The company also employs biomass energy to reduce carbon emission.
