On 17 October 2021, H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand, participated in Japan-Thailand Cultural Fair in Kyoto which was organised by Japan-Thailand Education Exchange Society (JTEES). He gave a talk on a topic “Ambassador’s views on Thailand-Japan’s relations” and shared his memorable experience on the relief missions during the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami disaster in 2011, as well as his experience in working with Japanese counterparts in those occasions.
Mr. Krit Tankanarat, Consul-General of Thailand in Osaka, also joined the event. During the opening ceremony, he delivered a remarks expressing his impressions on the event, and thanked the organiser for having contributed to the strengthening of Japan-Thailand relations.
In this event, Ambassador had a chance to meet with several Japanese distinguished guests, such as Mr. SUGAYA Hiroshi , President of Kyoto Prefectural Assembly and Advisor of the Japan-Thailand Friendship Association of Kyoto Prefectural Assembly, Mr. ISHIDA Munehisa, Chairman of the Japan-Thailand Friendship Association of Kyoto Prefectural Assembly, and Mr. KIMURA Shigeyo, President of JTEES, who are well-known figures in Kansai region. He also met with Thai university students in Kansai.
