Ambassador of Thailand and Mayor of Takayama, Gifu Prefecture discussed bilateral cooperation

On 19 November 2021, H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, welcomed Mr. KUNISHIMA Michihiro, Mayor of Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture, and his delegation at the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo. Both sides exchanged views on local-to-local cooperation between Thailand and Takayama, focusing on SMEs and tourism promotion. Indeed, Takayama is a popular destination among Thai visitors. The Ambassador also expressed his delight towards the recent assignment of a Takayama official to the office of Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) in Bangkok last May.
