The Ambassador welcomed the RKB Mainichi Broadcasting Corp.

On 26 November 2021, Ms. KATO Akiko, Advisor, and Ms. KINOSHITA Yuriko, Manager of Global Business Department of the RKB Mainichi Broadcasting Corp., paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan. Ms. KATO informed Ambassador Singtong of the student exchange project between Thailand and Japan and Ayutthaya Kizuna Ekiden marathon relay in the previous years. Both sides also exchanged views on projects to commemorate the 135^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Japan in 2022.

The RKB Mainichi Broadcasting Corp. and the Mainichi Shimbun, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand, co-organise the annual Ayutthaya Kizuna Ekiden Marathon replay, which was launched in 2017 to commemorate the 130^th anniversary of the Japan-Thailand Diplomatic relations.
