During the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, Kita-Kyushu was also a host town for table tennis and taekwondo athletes from Thailand. On this occasion, Mr. MIURA congratulated on the success of Ms. Panipak Wongpattanakit, the Thai Taekwondo gold medalist in Tokyo Olympics, who participated in a training camp in Kita-Kyushu in preparation for the Games.
Minister Prangtip thanked Kita-Kyushu city for its continued support to enhance the relations with Thailand. She hopedthat the mutual cooperation in all areas between two sides will flourish even further in the future. Potential areas include technology transfer and support for the aging society, as the city is well-known for robot development.
