Ambassador introduced “Visit Thailand Year 2022” campaign at the New Year Party 2022 held by the Shibuya ward of Tokyo

On 4 January 2022, H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, participated in the New Year Party 2022 held by the Shibuya ward of Tokyo. Ambassadors and representatives from 17 embassies, mostly those located in the Shibuya ward of Tokyo, participated in the event. The ambassadors and diplomats each had an opportunity to make greetings and introduce their countries to the Japanese audience.

As for Thailand, Ambassador Singtong briefed the audience about the “Visit Thailand Year 2022” campaign, which aims to invite tourists from around the world to visit Thailand. In addition, he pointed out the long-established relations between Thailand and Japan and the fact that the year 2022 marks the 135^th Anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the two countries. The Ambassdor also presented the photo of Wat Chaiwatthanaram, one of the must-visit landmarks in Ayutthaya Province, which has had great historical value and significance for both Thailand and Japan.
