Ambassador of Thailand paid a courtesy call on Japan’s Speaker of the House of Representatives

On 21 January 2022, H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. HOSODA Hiroyuki, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan. H.E. Ambassador Singtong hand-delivered a congratulatory letter from H.E. Mr. Chuan Leekpai, President of the National Assembly of Thailand and Speaker of the House of Representatives of Thailand, to H.E. Mr. HOSODA upon his assumption of duty.

During the said call, both sides discussed the bilateral relations between the Parliaments of the two countries as well as the status of the Japan-Thailand Parliamentarians’ Friendship League. They also expressed hope for revitalization of parliamentarians’ visits between the two countries after the COVID-19 pandemic.
