Ambassador presided over the THAI Select Certificate Presentation Ceremony

On 19 January 2022, H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, presided over the 2022 THAI Select Certificate Presentation Ceremony at the Royal Thai Embassy. This year, 13 Thai restaurant owners are entitled to receive the certificate.

Ambassador expressed his appreciation to them for helping promote the image of Thai food and “Thainess” hospitality, which in turn uplift Thailand’s status and popularity.

THAI Select is a logo given by the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand to Thai restaurants and ready-made Thai food products, with authentic Thai taste through the cooking with Thai recipe. Currently, there are 179 Thai restaurants across Japan awarded THAI Select Certificate, classified by 16 THAI Select Signature restaurants, 143 THAI Select Classic restaurants and 20 THAI Select Casual restaurants.
