Ambassador participated in the Setsubun Festival at Narita-san Temple

On 3 February 2022, H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, attended the Setsubun Festival or Japan's bean-throwing festival to celebrate the beginning of spring since ancient times at Narita-san Shinshoji Temple, Chiba Prefecture.
Japanese people believe that changing seasons may result in bad luck. Throwing-bean ritual is performed to get rid of bad luck and welcome good luck. The event was attended by several celebrities, such as top sumo wrestlers as well as drama actors. Ambassadors from Buddhist countries are also invited to attend the ritual. The Setsubun Festival is held on 3 February of every year.
