Representatives of Nihongo Partners in Thailand under Japan Foundation paid a courtesy visit to the Ambassador.

On 16 March 2022, a delegation of Nihongo Partners under the Japan Foundation Asia Center, led by Ms. SATO Yuri, Executive Vice President, Japan Foundation, paid a courtesy visit on H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan.

The delegation informed the Ambassador of the outcome of Nihongo Partners Project, held in Thailand during May 2021 – February 2022. The project was aimed at providing Japanese language teaching assistance by Japanese volunteers to local Japanese language teachers in many countries around the world. This project is the 9^th batch in Thailand, attended by 45 Japanese volunteers in 19 provinces in all regions.

As the Project was held under COVID-19 prevention restriction, most classes were held online. Despite of the limited number of physical classes and gathering between the Japanese teachers and the Thai students, Nihongo Partners made an important contribution in strengthening people to people contact and cross-cultural exchanges between Thailand and Japan.
