On 18 April 2022, the Royal Thai Embassy organised a PR Event for Thai Festival in Japan 2022 at the Embassy’s Hall. The event was presided by H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, and was attended by more than 60 participants from variety of media, including radio stations, televisions, newspapers, magazines, blogs, social media influencers, and members of music companies in Japan.
Taking into consideration about the health risk of organising the annual event at the Yoyogi Park, the Organising Committee of the Thai Festival in Japan 2022 decided to organise this event online. The focuses of the event continue to be three main pillars similarly to those of the annual Thai Festival, namely Thai culture, Thai food, and Thai products and services.
The Thai Festival in Japan 2022 will be held under the theme: “T-Pop” or Thai pop music. This very first full-stream online event will be jointly organised with the T-Pop Stage Show under the name: “T-Pop Stage Show: Special Episode with Thai Festival in Japan 2022”. This show will be performed by 8 groups of Thai artists from different music companies. Each show will be specially tailored to the taste of Japanese fans, aimed at raising awareness on Thai singers, Thai music and Thai culture among Japanese audience.
The concert will be livestreamed on Sunday 15 May 2022 at 14.30 hrs. (Japan time) and 12.30 hrs. (Thailand time) on the following platforms:
Facebook: thaifestival.jp, T-Pop Stage, and Workpoint Entertainment
YouTube: T-Pop Stage
In addition, eating and shopping campaigns under the titles “Thai Food in Your Area” and “Thai Products in Your Area” will offer plenty of discounts and special offers. Those who wish to enjoy Thai Food can visit participating Thai Select restaurants, while those who wish to shop Thai products and services can do so online in just a few clicks away.
