Ambassador congratulated the Chairman of Kanagawa Prefectural Assembly Japan-Thailand Friendship League on his new appointment as the President of Kanagawa Prefectural Assembly

On 16 June 2022, H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, congratulated Mr. SHIKIDA Hiroaki, Chairman of Kanagawa Prefectural Assembly Japan-Thailand Friendship League, on his new appointment as the President of Kanagawa Prefectural Assembly and presented to him a congratulatory letter.

Ambassador and Mr. SHIKIDA agreed that Thailand and Kanagawa Prefecture have long enjoyed close and friendly relations. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 situation, the exchange between the two sides have been decreased.

This year marks the 135^th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Thailand and Japan and the 10th anniversary of the Kanagawa Prefectural Assembly Japan-Thailand Friendship League. Mr. SHIKIDA expressed his readiness to jointly commemorate this special occasion.
