Ambassador of Thailand chaired the 310th Meeting of ASEAN Committee in Tokyo

On 22 June 2022, in his capacity as the Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Tokyo (ACT), H.E. Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun chaired the 310^th Meeting of the ACT at the Royal Thai Embassy. During the said Meeting attended by ASEAN Ambassadors and representatives, they exchanged views on topics such as the COVID-19 situation in Japan and its border measures as well as regional issues, among others.

The Meeting was followed by a talk session by a guest speaker, Ms. DODEN Aiko, Special Affairs Commentator on international affairs at NHK World TV. In her talk, Ms. DODEN touched upon ASEAN from the perspective of Japanese media and media’s role.

At the end of the Meeting, the Handing-Over Ceremony of the ACT Chairmanship was held, in which H.E. Ambassador Singtong handed over the gavel to H.E. Mr. Vu Hong Nam, Ambassador of Viet Nam, who will be the next ACT Chair during July-December 2022.
