Ambassador attended the press conference of Beisia’s Thai Fair

On 6 July 2022, H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, attended the “Thai Fair” press conference together with the President of Beisia. Held for the second time, the Thai Fair is a collaboration between Beisia Supermarket and the Office of Commercial Affairs of the Royal Thai Embassy to promote a variety of Thai food products. The Fair will be held during 6 - 19 July 2022 in 112 Beisia Supermarkets located all over Kanto and Chubu regions.

The Ambassador shared his view that the Thai Fair would help raise awareness of Thai food to people of all generations who live outside Tokyo. Having Thai food on the supermarket shelves also reiterated the fact that Thai food can be easily cooked at home. The Ambassador closed his remarks by recommending must-try products, such as Gros Michel banana, durian, mangosteen, coconut juice and jasmine rice.
