Ambassador strengthens the relations with JETRO Bangkok

On July 6, 2022, Mr. TAKETANI Atsushi, Deputy Director-General of Economic Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and former Chairman of JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) Bangkok Office, brought with him Mr. KURODA Junichiro, Director-General of Economic and Industrial Policy Bureau, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, to pay a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan. Mr. KURODA is the upcoming Chairman of JETRO Bangkok.

Both sides exchanged views on the close relations between Thailand and Japan. In the JETRO context, the organization plays an important role in providing insightful information for the Thai government and agencies to shape business-friendly economic measures. Furthermore, the Embassy and former Chairmen of JETRO Bangkok, who are so-called Friends of Thailand, have maintained a good relationship and continue to lend support to each other in various ways.
