Governor YAMAGUCHI was pleased that Ambassador Singtong and his spouse paid a visit to Saga for the second time after assuming the office as Ambassador of Thailand to Japan. He also stressed the special ties that have continuously grown between Thailand and Saga prefecture. Thai people know Saga through Thai dramas which were filmed in the prefecture. The Governor also encouraged more Thai tourists to visit the prefecture and for those who have been there, to visit the prefecture again.

Ambassador mentioned that he was honored and delighted to visit Saga again. He believed that the beauty of the prefecture and Saga’s friendship with Thailand would attract more Thai tourists to Saga, especially after the Japanese Government has relaxed border measures for oversea travelers and direct flights between Thailand and Kyushu Island have gradually resumed their operations. He also expressed appreciation that the Governor and his staff joined #marudancechallenge Tiktok clip as part of Thai Festival 2022in May 2022, and the prefecture’s efforts in organising the Thai Festival in Saga for six consecutive years until now. Finally, he sought cooperation from the Governor to look after Thai tourists who visit Saga.
