Ambassador visited the East Japan Heavy Ion Center and Vantech Factory, a camping car manufacturer, in Yamagata Prefecture.

On 31 October – 1 November 2022, H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan,visited East Japan Heavy Ion Center, Faculty of Medicine, Yamagata University, and Vantech factory, a camping car manufacturer in Yamagata Prefecture whichhas a production base in Thailand.

East Japan Heavy Ion Center is an ion cancer treatment center that uses synchrotron light with a rotating gantry. The treatment is suitable for the elderly who are unable to undergo major operation or treat cancers in hard-to-reach areas. Both sides expressedtheirinterest in further cooperation.

After that, the Ambassador visited the Vantech factory, which assembles fully-furnished camping cars manufactured in Thailand with Toyota cars for sale in Japan. The Ambassador also listened to the company’s opinions on investment in Thailand and gave advice to facilitate its business operation in Thailand.
