On 11 November 2022, H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, attended a certificate presentation ceremony for NIHONGO Partners volunteers who returned to Japan after completing their Japanese language teaching missions in ASEAN countries, including Thailand.
Ambassador was also invited to give an opening remark at the ceremony. He took the opportunity to congratulate Japan Foundation on the success of the program and thanked Nihongo Partners volunteers who played a commendable role in strengthening friendship at the people level between Japan and participating ASEAN countries.
The Japan Foundation’s NIHONGO Partners is a program that dispatches Japanese “partners” to educational institutions in Asia to assist Japanese-language teachers and their students inside and outside the classroom. Nihongo Partners volunteers have been sent to 12 countries and regions. In 2022, there are 45 volunteers traveled to Thailand to teach Japanese language at 45 schools in 19 provinces.
