Ambassador welcomed delegates from Aomori Prefecture and local agencies related to Aomori apples.

On 8 December 2022, representatives from Aomori Prefecture and local agencies related to promotion of Aomori apples paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, and presented Aomori apples to the Ambassador.
Aomori apple is popular among the Thai people. In 2021, Aomori exported a total of 927 tons of Aomori apples to Thailand. Currently, Thailand is the largest export market of Aomori apples among ASEAN countries and the third largest in the world, after Taiwan and Hong Kong.
In November 2022, a delegation from Aomori Prefecture visited Thailand to promote Aomori apples to Thai people. Ambassador and the delegation shared the same view that Aomori apples help Thai and Japanese people to feel close to each other. Ambassador also invited Aomori people to taste Thai fruits which is equally delicious and globally famous
