Ambassador attended the opening ceremony of the event: "Thailand Investment Promotion Policy: New Economy, New Opportunities"

On 29 November 2022, H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, attended the opening ceremony of investment promotion event titled "Thailand Investment Promotion Policy: New Economy, New Opportunities "held at Keidanren Conference Hall. Held first in Japan, this event was co-hosted by the Office of Economic and Investment in Tokyo and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) to promote the new Five-Year Investment Promotion Strategy (2023-2027) of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI). The event welcomed as many as 230 representatives from various companies and organizations.

On this occasion, the Ambassador mentioned about the long-standing partnership between Thailand and Japan in driving economic growth of each other. He also introduced BOI and its role in timely adjusting the investment promotion policy in response to the government's policy and global challenges to make Thailand a quality destination for investment. In addition, the Ambassador introduced other investment promotion agencies such as EEC (Eastern Economic Corridor office of Thailand) and Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand. In closing, he expressed appreciation towards the Japanese government and many organizations for their ongoing support related to economic development of Thailand, especially JETRO. In fact, a lot of JETRO personnel who once had experience about Thailand has become Friends of Thailand and continue to play a part in promoting Thailand-Japan economic relations.
