Ambassador attended the Signing Ceremony of Letter of Intent between TAT and JNTO

On 18 January 2023, H.E. Mr. SingtongLapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, witnessed the signing ceremony of Letter of Intent (LOI) to promote mutual tourism between the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO)at the Peninsula Tokyo.

The LOI was signed between Mr. YuthasakSupasorn, Governor of TAT, and Mr. SEINOSatoshi, President of JNTO. Also witnessed was Mr. HOSHINOMitsuaki, Vice Commissioner of Japan Tourism Agency (JTA).

The said cooperation betweenTAT and JNTO is hoped to revitalize the tourism industry ofJapan and Thailandand deepen people-to-people relations between the two countries. Thailand and Japan will join hands in 2023 to expand the number of flights to promote two-way tourism. TAT announced its target to welcome one million Japanese travelers to Thailand in 2023.
