Ambassador welcomed delegation from Odate City and Hokuto Bank

On 25 January 2023, H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, and his spouse, Madam Porndee Lapisatepun, hosted a luncheon in honour of Mr. FUKUHARA Junji, Mayor of Odate City, Akita Prefecture; Mr. FUJIWARA Akira, Chairman of Odate City Council; Mr. SASABUCHI Kazushi, Senior Executive Officer & Board Member of Hokuto Bank; and Mr. SATO Takashi, Executive Managing Director & Board Member of Hokuto Bank. On this occasion, Ambassador Singtong expressed his sincere appreciation to Odate city for the warm welcome extended from the people of Odate City to his delegation during visit to the city last August. As the City was the host town for Thai boccia athletes during the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, the Ambassador thanked the Mayor and the City for the vital role in strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries. The Hokuto Bank is an important member of the Akita-Thailand Friendship Association and has positively contributed to the cooperation between the Tohoku region, especially Akita Prefecture, and Thailand. The bank has also established its Bangkok Representative Office.
