Minister Counsellor attended a briefing on the outcomes of the JENESYS 2022

On 30 January 2023, Mr. Romdej Phisalaphong, Minister Counsellor, attended a briefing on the outcomes of the Japan Friendship Ties Program “JENESYS2022 ASEAN-Japan History of Development Cooperation” at Shinjuku NS Building, Tokyo. The programme was organised by the Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE). Ten of the total 100 participants from ASEAN countries were Thai university students and graduates namely (1) Mr. Ratchakith Dhanyajarathbhorn; (2) Ms. Supakjira Meesakul; (3) Mr. Teeraphong Sukjit; (4) Ms. Ranchana Worahan; (5) Mr. Maytapat Pararaman; (6) Ms. Lyla Tongruyjink; (7) Mr. Nattawut Preechachan; (8) Mr. Thankarn Udomkij; (9) Ms. Nattapon Aunhabundit; (10) Ms. Yathisa Arunoprayoch.

JENESYS 2022 participants took part in an online webinar titled “50 Years History of South East Asia - Japan Development Cooperation”. Afterwards, they visited Japan from 24 to 31 January 2023 to attend a seminar with JENESYS alumni who live in Japan, visit Kao Corporation, join a seminar with Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers and take a field trip to various places throughout Japan, namely Nagoya Castle in Aichi, Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum in Nagasaki, Umijigoku onzen in Oita, Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum in Hiroshima, and Tsuruga Castle in Fukushima.

Minister Counsellor advised the students to make use of knowledge gained from this programme, make friends with fellow students and keep in touch with them.
