On 31 January 2023, H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, welcomed Miss Punnapon Uyapitang, a first-grader of Anuban Nongkai School whose artwork name "Sprinkle Water onto Luangpor Phrasai Buddha Image" has won the gold prize from the 33rdMOA Children’s Art Exhibition. Punnapon and her mother have participated in the award presenting ceremony at the MOA Museum of Art, Atami City, Shizuoka prefecture on 29 January 2023.
The contest in Thailand was held in cooperation with Rangsit Science Centre for Education and the MOA Thai Foundation. This year 1,053 pieces of art of the Thai students were submitted to the international contest for the final selection, along with 186,954 pieces of arts submitted from all over the world. The final selections are exhibited at the MOA Museum of Art during 7 January – 15 February 2023
The MOA Art and Cultural Foundation is one of the main pillars of the MOA Association (Mokichi Okada Association), e.g. Okada Purifying Therapy, Nature Farming and the Arts and Culture Operations. The main activities of the Foundation are the operation of the MOA Museum of Art and the Hakone Museum of Art, and organizing the International Children’s Art Exhibition in which Thai students have won prizes in recent years. At present, MOA has its branches in 13 countries including the MOA Thai Foundation which was established on 18 December 1989.
