Japan-Thailand Business Forum executive reports on the 2023 annual visit to Thailand

On 16 March 2023, Mr. TANIGUCHI Takehiko, Chairman of the Industry Committee of Japan-Thailand Business Forum (JTBF), paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan. The purpose of this meeting is to report on the JTBF executives’ visit to Thailand in February 2023, which is the first visit in 3 years after the COVID-19 pandemic has subsided.
The Ambassador emphasized the importance of JTBF as Friend of Thailand who plays a vital role in supporting the Thai economy. Both sides also exchanged views on various issues, including ways to continue the organization's mission to promote economic relations between Thailand and Japan. This particularly involves urging younger generations of former Japanese expatriates with different backgrounds who used to live in Thailand to join the JTBF.
